Pete Cook Quartet at the George & Dragon

This evening we went to the George & Dragon in Thames Ditton to see Pete Cook (baritone sax, alto sax, pictured), Alan Dandy (keyboard), Mick Durelle (string bass) and Don Cook (drums). Pete is a fine player on both instruments.
The numbers we enjoyed most from the quartet were:
I've Got The world on a String by Harold Arlen and featured in the film 'Carefree' as in this YouTube link;
East of the Sun (West of the Moon) by Brooks Bowman, an undergraduate member of Princeton University's Class of 1936, for the 1934 production of the the Princeton Triangle Club's production of Stags at Bay; he died in a car crash before his 24the birthday;
Alan Dandy's solo feature Every Time We Say Goodbye by Cole Porter;
Alan and Mick duetting on I'm Old-Fashioned, composed by Jerome Kern with lyrics by Johnny Mercer for the 1942 film 'You Were Never Lovelier', where it was introduced by Nan Wynn who dubbed for Rita Hayworth as part of a song and dance routine with Fred Astaire (as in this YouTube link).
Guests were Kim Martine, singing 'I Only Have Eyes For You' by Harry Warren and 'Days of Wine and Roses' by Henry Mancini with lyrics by Johnny Mercer, followed by John Shepherd and John Lang, playing:
'Indiana', 'In a Mellow Tone' and 'Ring Dem Bells'.
We were joined by Brian Hicks who was in hospital until a week ago with dehydration. He kindly invited us to join his 72nd birthday celebration later in the month, complete with Rance's Rocking Chair Band.
