Jazz in Dorset

We have been investigating jazz in Dorset and found Live Jazz Dates for Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. Combining that with the Jazz Guide entries for Dorset we found the following venues with in easy reach of Bournemouth:

Mondays
Avon Causeway Hotel, Hurn, Alan Pickering and the Spirit of New Orleans Jazz Band;

the Durley Hall Hotel, Bournemouth Trad Jazz Club first and third Monday of each month 07809 398741.

Tuesdays
The Amberwood at Walkford, near Christchuch; first & third Tuesday in each month, the Bernie Farrenden Quartet.

Wednesdays
The Fishermans Haunt in Winkton, first & third Wednesday in each month, The Panama Hat N.O. Jazz Band;

The Lamb Inn in Winkton, seond & fourth Wednesday in each month, The Panama Hat N.O. Jazz Band;

The Lord Bute in Highcliffe, every Wednesday, quartet varies.

Thursdays
The White Buck in Burley, every Thursday, Tony Robinson's Chicago Jazz Aces;

Verwood Trad Jazz Club 3rd Thursday of the month at the Verwood Hub.

Fridays
The Cottonwood Hotel, every Friday.

Saturdays
Bad night for jazz as everywhere.

Sunday evenings
The Belvedere Hotel, Bournemouth, 'Jazzsounds', every Sunday.

If all the above fail there is always the The Concorde Club at Eastleigh, the finest jazz club in Britain (pictured).
