Over the weekend we had photographs produced of both
Isomatic 3 phase converters and
Boost Energy 3 phase converters. The photographer and 'digital manipulator' was Barrie Davis. Examples of his work can be seen at
Brockham Village photographs. These were exhibited at
Denbies Vineyard, which we visited yesterday.
Today is Sunday so we forgot about work and took a trip to London. The highlight was a visit to the
Courtauld Institute Gallery at Somerset House. It was even quiet there, although the rest of London was very crowded with visitors.
Having taken advice from a patent lawyer, we are adding the TM superscript to the word Booster everywhere on the following pages:
3 phase converters
3 phase convertors

selecting and understanding a 3 phase converter.
Yesterday we went to a piano recital at the
Queen Elizabeth Hall by
Jack Gibbons. The performance was almost entirely Gershwin plus two of Jack's own compositions.
Yesterday I revised the web page
Selecting and understanding a 3 Phase Converter. I changed the text in respect of deriving single phase from the 3 phase output by connecting between one phase and neutral. The new lower power Boosters allow this from any phase.
I have just E-mailed advice to
Boostek on improving positions in search engines. This included:
Signing up to WebProWorld
Ensuring search phrases are available to spiders
Keeping content fresh
Starting a Weblog !
Isomatic has received an invitation from
Boost Energy Systems Ltd. to join the new
Phase Converter Manufacturers Association. I replied that we are very willing to join, with a particular aim of educating potential customers in electrical terminology.
I am particularly unhappy with any manufacturer that describes a product as an inverter that does not follow the standard definition:
"A device that changes direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC)".
I note that none of the PCMA members are guilty of this.
Yesterday I despatched a batch of
small transformers that the customer wanted packed in small boxes, 100 per box. Our factory had sent them here split between just two boxes so I had the task of repacking.
I used the boxes saved from all the purchase of perfume for my wife over the last year or so. Since I found
Fragrance Direct she has been using Carven's Ma Griffe like water because the price is so incredibly low.
We have just used
Davies Turner for the first time, transporting goods from our Bulgarian factory to the UK. For the first time EVER we received the goods on time and undamaged !
The final leg of the trip was so early in the morning that there was nobody to receive the delivery. The driver used his initiative to telephone the (apparently deserted) company and was answered because the telephone was on divert out of hours. Hence arrangements could be made for immediate drop. Many drivers would just go away.
Obviously we will continue to use this company and publicise such good performance. I hope that it continues because it would solve one of our major problems.
I am very impressed with
SearchSight.com. I t indexes my submissions immediately, responds quickly to searches and displays each result with a thumbnail of the web page. There is no obvious impediment to submitting individual pages in addition to the home or index page.
In order to measure and record 3 phase current waveforms for
3 phase converters we decided to buy 3 precision high power 1 ohm resistors. This proved more difficult than I anticipated but using Google.co.uk I found
Willow, who have a specialist area of low value resistors.
